How much spending money for a 3 week holiday in OZ, how long is a piece of string?

    Well folks,

    I'm off to Oz in October and wondering if anyone can advise how much money I should bring for spending? I'm flying in to Sydney and then going up the gold coast and flying home from Brisbane..... I'll have very little accommodation expenses so that wont be a major factor......

    I know its a very broad question but would like to hear peoples experiences......

    I did the same as OP, had a place to crash most of the time. Didn't party every night and eat out all the time but did do things like rent a car, climb the harbour bridge (~$200) and go to a theme park. It came to just under 2grand. So that was basically doing the things I wanted but not going crazy.

    I agree with the last 2 posters, 2 - 3 grand. I did the same but in 6 weeks, we did everything, sky diving, surfing, diving, Fraser Island etc, we ate and drank out every night but saved then with cheap acc, you could do it for less it you make your own meals etc. enjoy
