I always hear the, "It has to be real because they have kids."

Why does it have to be real? Plenty of people are married today with children that should never have gotten married, don't love each other, and don't even like each other.

Now, there are also plenty that have kids where the marriage is real and solid.

Is anyone really gonna say that Andre and Jordan was real? McFadden and Katona?
In the world of celebrity, I take everything with a BIG grain of salt.

Beckham and Posh have kids, and to me them two look like they don't even like each other. It all adds to their image and publicity and selling appeal. The marriage, the family, the happiness......

Posh would be a nobody without Beckham, and Beckham wouldn't be as high profile without her. Agents and spin run these people lives. Throw in a couple of kids and it all ADDS to their profile.

Also, you don't even have to sleep with someone to create children...Ever think of that

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was revealed that many of the celeb
children out there were conceived by IVF.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes? Real? My arse that is real...

Tiger and Elin? Another business arrangement to place Tiger on this
pedestal. That man would never have ordinarily married that woman, and her him.

Oh, they had kids but? And?

Just speaking of marriages? Does anyone believe that Cowell is really committed
    to marrying what's her name?

That will never go ahead. I strongly suspect that Cowell is not all that
fond of the opposite sex, never was.

Any update on these two? Are things all rosy in the garden again?

Do you really think some celeb marriages are business arrangements?

    No, not at all.

Obviously the kids are in on it too.

Will be interesting to see if all this will damage/help his career. (I'm sure the "reconciliation for the sake of the kids" - on the cover of Hello/OK! and the next 5 thousand interviews he'll talk about it in will put him in some sort of good favour!!).

His promoters are running a 2 for 1 ticket offer for his next concert in July. That sounds like the same offer that was on when Boyzone had trouble shifting tickets for some of their venues on the last tour. I just discovered that you could get 200 tickets in one purchase for his next 2 shows.....

Presuming that these tickets have been on sale for a while, i'm left wondering if he was bombing before all this splitting up stuff or after it, because according to him the recent tour was a massive success??

How can you have kids with someone and it be a business arrangement though? I don't think Ronan Keating's was like that. Could be wrong but I doubt it?

Personally I don't think this was a business arrangement, but most definitely, people have kids and whatever in sham marriages.

I wouldnt have thought it was a business arrangement, but it's come across as anything but "real" over the last few years... I would have thought anyway. He always seemed so desperate to take every opportunity to convince the public that she was his rock and how he thought it was so important to take time out to really listen to his wife blah blah fcuking blah. Far too convincing, he couldn't do any kind of press without mentioning her and i thought it always just made them - as a couple - look like they weren't so special after all. Just desperate for everyone to think they were.... it obviously helped his profile and made them both alot of money. So maybe it ended up as some sort of business arrangement! Who knows. He's still a d*ckhead with a combover :D

His recent UK tour was a success and the venues were full. These summer shows went on sale about 2 weeks before the affair, so I'm sure thats why there are problems with ticket sales. Also the Henley show is a black-tie event and not really his audience anyway so I was surprised he was signed up it, also it's on the night of the world cup final - so bad timing for any artist.

Marriage bussiness arrangement - what are you people like? I have actually spent time with Ronan and Yvonne and they really are a lovely couple and I only hope they can sort their problems out.

I'm particularly glad that his attempts to "break" america came to exactly nothing..the picture of him in a cowboy hat looking smug at the beginning of the venture made me want to kill somebody.

Here he is looking utterly ridiculous with his aged hag of a wife.article-0-013C600700000578-445_468x580.jpg

The word coming out from Australia is that they are back together. Ronan was a guest on Kyle Sandilands breakfast show (co-judge on X Factor) this morning. He took the whole family including Yvonne into the studio with him. He sounded happy, said they had all been out and about doing lots of things together, which Kyle confirmed, he said that pictures in the paper are carefully chosen to reflect the story that they want to print, and how the press like to make more of a drama out of everything. They even spoke on air to two of his kids, who were really sweet. I hope they can be left alone now to just get on with it.

Yes and he told of how Yvonne flew the longer route to Australia via NY and LA (methinks to deliberately avoid being seen arriving with him to drag this story out longer and longer). This story has been nothing but a joke, I for one think this "split" started off as genuine, albeit a hasty announcement, but it has now turned into a publicity scam and has been for weeks and weeks. They need to confirm that they're back together and stop this nonsense. I felt so sorry for the kids when i listened to that, because they did sound really sweet and (obviously they weren't going to say on air) they sounded like they hadn't a clue about what game is currently being played out in the press between their parents. The little boy was even saying he'd like a baby brother - I know kids won't fully understand the true extent of what is happening in their parents relationship but that poor kid sounded like he was aware of nothing - and for him, maybe that's a good thing, or maybe nothing's wrong at all.

In fairness I really don't think it was the press making a drama out of this story, it is Ronan and Yvonne themselves. I thought the press has (for the most part) been hopeful of a reconciliation between them and tried to create sympathy for Ronan. It wasn't the media that were providing daily photographs and leaking comments through friends and family members instead of being upfront - it was Ronan and Yvonne. He wont allow anybody on his website forums to discuss the subject and clearly thinks he can use the media to suit himself as and when he pleases ( read this - a bit cheeky http://www.tribune.ie/article/2010/may/30/diarmuid-doyle-ronan-keating-was-not-exactly-on-fi/ ... He should have thought about the protection of his kids before releasing the statement and then deciding to very publicly work on things with Yvonne :mad::mad::mad:)

He was accused of being cultivating in the past but could they, as a couple, really go that far for personal media gain? I listened to that podcast and those two cant be split up.

    Ok rant over!!

Do you not know how the paparazzi work. They follow/ spy the celeb with long lense cameras and take photos and sell them to the highest bidder. Then with photo in hand the press write a story around the photo "exclusive" they have. They sometimes even use "made up" sources to clarify their story. Unless a source is actually named, then it is usually made up, or so far removed from the subject that they are not even personally known by the celeb at all.

Maybe there are some celebs that want to be in the papers everyday and do tell the paps where they are going, but I don't think this is the case here. I really do think that Ronan and Yvonne just want to get on with things in private.

Also I don't think Ronan has anything to gain from all this, the longer it goes on the worse the effect will be on his career.

If you have a pack of paps following your every movement it must be very difficult to carry on your life without being photographed. What were the Keating's surposed to do in those first couple of weeks stay locked inside their house 24/7. Not really practical under the circumstances.

Ok I agree that it was stupid for them to announce their separation so early when they really hadn't thought it all through, but I guess the press were ready to "out" his affair in the Sundays, so they made their announcement first. When a couple go through this kind of thing it is very traumatic and you don't always think things through properly.

Hi, yeah i do understand how the paparazzi work, but more importantly, so does Ronan. I suppose that his definition of "dealing with things privately" means giving alot of exposure to the paps in the hope that it'll die down - he knows this game and knows that everytime he stepped outside the house a picture would be taken and those pictures would be in the papers. The ones of him bringing the kids to playschool etc created great sympathy for him, but others, like when he was kitted out and on the harley, for example, just looked like milking opportunities. With regard to "made up sources" commenting to the press, in this case it was Lisa Duffy, Louis Walsh, and Ronan's brother that were making comments (well the comments i was referring to anyway). They were all singing the same tune and were obviously told it was ok to make the comment - they know the couple so well.

Not exactly true - "all press is good press" - comment from Ronan Keating (and earlier, Louis Walsh). It's no secret that if you're in the papers all the time, for whatever reason, people are more interested in you and therefore more willing to spend money on you or your product. The spin that will be put on this when they officially reconcile will be huge. There'll be an OK! spread and probably a few interviews together on tv and in papers. It's already raised her profile. He'll have some success again and you can be fcuking sure he'll milk that!!

I do agree, but all the comings and goings honestly seemed a bit much and some of them seemed a bit unnecessary... but that's just my opinion.

I totally agree that it was planned to counter act what the Sunday's would say, but it's just arrogant on his part to expect the media to bow down to what he sees fit in this situation. He could have turned this all around by coming out and simply saying "I've made a huge mistake, but we're going to try and fix this". We've only heard that through a "source", and that's a joke. He's allowing the speculation to get stronger and that's why i think it's a publicity scam.

    .

If someone with a camera is outside the gates of your house for best part of 4 weeks, then how can you come in and out of your house without being pictured. He had left the family home so its understandable that he would need to return to see his children. Yvonne would need to leave the house to shop, and to take their children to school and activities. The dogs needed to go be walked. Maybe Ronan didn't need to go out on his bike but apart from that I can't see that anything else they did was unnecessary. Why shouldnt they take the kids out to a local restaurant if they were trying to rebuild their marriage thats what couples do, they try to get things back to normal.

The problem you seem to have is that Ronan and Yvonne didn't tell the waiting media what they were doing, why they were doing this or that, what stage their reconcilliation was at. So because the media didn't really know what they were up to they just kept printing what they thought they were doing and thats where all the inaccuracies came from.

He was quoted at the very beginning whilst he was Switzerland as saying " I've made the worst mistake of my life, but I'm not prepared to give up on my marriage" So we knew then that he would be trying to sort things out with Yvonne.

Neither of them has spoken since, but maybe they wanted to protect their children by not being quoted in newspapers only for their children to read it at a later date.
