Aer Lingus can I carry bepanthen in hand luggage?

Like many people I use bepanthen for healing tattoos. I just got a new tattoo and now have to make an (unplanned) flight and am not sure if I would be OK to carry this on my hand luggage (I'll need to apply it mid-flight I imagine). Not used to carrying any kind of medicine with me on flights as I tend to just avoid bringing anything like that but here I have to. Thanks for the help and I hope it is not a stupid question.

What size is the container of bepathen? Do you have a prescription for it, or was it over the counter?

30g and over the counter, but I'm guessing from your questions that is not a good thing. I'm flying to Germany. It's not a liquid by the way, but a kind of cream I suppose.

    Thanks for the reply.

You can carry up to 100ml (100g) of any liquids or pastes (bepanthen being a paste). There shouldn't be any trouble, I've brought things like bongela or antiseptic cream of similar size on flights before, don't worry about it.

Just put it in one of those clear plastic bags to show security, if it's in your carry on. Should be no problems.
