If we were to scrap Amhrán na bhFiann altogether, what song would be an apt replacement for a new national anthem?

Imagine you're lining out in Lansdowne before a big match and this was the anthem. The Haka would seem puny in comparison. Jesus, just listening to it now has the hairs rising on the back of my neck!

On a side note, why would we get rid of our current one? I quite like it, and cos it's as gaeilge it means i can make up the parts I don't know and nobody is any the wiser!!

Eh, might get rid of the prancing about in bright orange costumes tho...

Bernard Dunne used that song as his entrance tune twice before getting the head knocked off him. Didn't strike all that much fear into his opponents.

No matter how ferocious the anthem, lining out for a rugby match would make me feel ghey.
