    Hi all

I will be commuting from Rathmines to DCU and I don't plan on driving as i'd say it would take forever.

Does anyone know on average how long the journey takes from Rathmines to DCU on the 19a?

    Thanks.

If you're in the Swan centre end of Rathmines you could walk/cycle to Ranelagh and get an 11/11A - then it takes about 50 - 60 mins if it's total rush-hour (like 8am), otherwise if it's not rush hour it takes maybe 30 - 40 minutes.

I don't know about any other routes. I used to cycle (30+ minutes) from Ranelagh if it was dry out, otherwise I'd take the 11 bus. I'd recommend the cycle: Camden St - Temple Bar - Jervis St - Past Cineworld - Bolton Street - Dorset Street - Drumcondra Road - Glasnevin Avenue - Ballymun Road - DCU

The 19A doesn't go through Rathmines, but if you're getting it from Camden St. it varies on traffic.
I get it to/from near Crumlin Cross every day- it normally takes around 50 minutes. During rush hour it can take between 1 hour and a half to 1 hour 45 minutes.
90% of the time it's on time, and is regular enough. You'd also have the option of getting the 16/16A to near the Omni centre (16A goes from Camden St too). You'd have a 10 minute walk down Shanowen Avenue, but it is an option.

You'd be better off getting off the 16/16a at Whitehall and walking down Collins Ave

They are a lot less regular though.
