Question re: Oblivion GOTY Edition

    Hey all, bit of a random request. just wondering if my original Oblivion save files will load in the GOTY edition? really wanna play shivering isles but don't really feel like starting afresh.

    Best news all day! Which probably says alot about how interesting my day was...but nevertheless this is good. So I guess when I load the save, all the new and unexplored elements will just appear right? Or is there a specific way to access the in-game content?

    Haven't personally done this so not 100% sure how it works but it was sold as being compatible with normal edition game saves. :)

    I believe after 24 hours, the next time you sleep you hear word of a gate which has opened, and this marks the start of the Shivering Isles. Then "The Prophet" becomes an available rumour, which starts the Knights of the Nine expansion.

    Trust me OP, been there, done that. :D

    Are you getting the Steam version? I'm not sure if saves work with that.

    Is that the download? Being distrustful of the reliance of downloads, I'd probably pick up the platinum GOTY edition.
