You may urinate but you should not defecate in a bidet. You should do neither in a shower. A bidet is connected to the main sewer, a shower normally is not.

What do you do when you’re flow slows down? Just leave a trail of piss from the sink to the shower?

I stayed in a rather low grade establishment in Douala, Cameroon for some time and one 'resident' had this habit of leaving a shower cap packed with scutther on occasions.

Apparently he was partial to a very spicy local dish,very hot and piquant,and this brought on severe cramps next morning.

Rather than leave the shower, he applied the shower cap to his nethers, and unloaded while he washed.

Then abandoned it on the shower floor.

Not a pretty sight at 0700 hrs I can assure readers:eek:

We tend to have only 1 waste water outflow in this country. Not a multi sewer option. Unless you know something i dont.

whatever about old stale pee, there certainly isn't anything unhygenic about fresh pee it's been sealed safely in your bladder until you release it and is completely sterile until it leaves your body and then it goes down the plug hole along with all the other waste water in your house, including what gets flushed down your toilets and sinks.

aside from the possibility of slightly harder skin on the soles of your feet due to the effects of the ammonia in it, you'll be grand.

it doesn't take much, the skin hardening effects of pee on feet have been used for many years by soldiers to toughen their feet and help them to wear in new boots.

not to mention using it to wash out battlefield wounds too, although i doubt they do that any more. nothing like a quick golden shower before they sew you up.

I don't pee in the shower, it would completely mess up my morning ritual of turning on the shower then peeing (in the toilet) and by the time I'm done on the loo the water for my shower is at the prefect temperature.

pee is sterile - it was a craze in japan a few years back actually to drink yer own piss and it's perfectly acceptable to drink your own piss if say stuck in the desert...or cavan

therefore...piss away in the shower all ya want. as long as it's not going stagnant and smelly, it wont harm your flatmate at all

A shower is not connected directly to the main sewer, like a bidet is. Shower water discharges into a gully and then into the main sewer.

I can't think of a good reason why you would pee in the shower, I'm very lazy but even I'm not that lazy. I usually take a piss befor I get in the shower anyway but like toilet is right beside the shower??? - and if it's not then it's not a real house

I don't think I could do it, I wouldn't be comfortable at all. There would be splash back issues that would have to be dealt with as well. I definitely would not do it if it was a shared shower.

if you think Ireland is teeming with bidets then you're obviously not from around these parts anyway.

your chances of finding shower water going into a separate gully in Ireland are about as high as they are finding a bidet in someone's home (i.e. virtually nil). the only time most Irish people would have seen a bidet is on holiday and even then the most you could wish for is that they'd wash the sand off their feet in it.

everything goes down the plug hole and right into the main sewer outlet here, we don't do gully's or bidets, sorry to disappoint you.

i usually get straight out of bed and into the shower in the morning before i'm properly awake (at 6am to get ready for work). normally i wouldn't realise i need a pee until i'm already showering and covered in water (the running water seems to make me want to go anyway) by which time due to wakening up in the shower properly and the sound of the water, i'm pretty much bursting to go.

i'm hardly going to get out of the shower and dry myself off to have a pee and then get right back in the shower again when the plug hole ends in the same place as the shower.

If I'm in the shower and I suddenly need to piss then I have no problem doing it, but I don't particularly enjoy like some of you here.
