Yeah no wonder you got homesick i hated that place and i was homesick and i was only there for a week it was so unhomeing know one knew english and everything was old and scary, the doors had no locks or anything, it would have to be america for me i went there for 2 months and didn't even think about home infact i cried when i came back for 2 whole weeks because everything was depressing and crap here , the worst thing was landing here and seeing the crap fog and rain and then hearing the depressing northern ireland accent! Its so warm and sunny there, and everything is so big and everything its great!!!!

Aww, I like the nordie accent! And try Chicago or Boston in January, it's not so warm and sunny...more like sub-zero temps, gray skies, and mounds of snow and ice stained with car exhaust and dog piss.

North west Spain, the Basque bit basically. Gorgeous place, Great weather, nice locals, like Ireland only bigger with better weather.

For me I'd like to be in New Zealand at the mo, have friends over there, have to wait a year to be finished college then I'm taking a trip over for the rugby world cup and some adventure :D

Well, I'm in New Zealand but I'd prefer to be back home in Dublin. Want to swop?!

Seriously, I've been in NZ for two years and I'm ready to come home. I miss Dublin a lot. Have another two years here though so just going to make the most of it!

Provence in the South of France for three months, California (San Francisco or nearby) for another 3 months and Ireland the remainder of the year.

Amsterdam...a place which knows how to treat its citizens as adults instead of suffocating them in cotton wool.

Glad I'm not the only one. :) I regularly dream that I'm walking around Dublin and they're the most vivid dreams I've ever had.

I had a trip home in April and it almost bankrupted me but it was really worth it. Nothing much had changed and I realised Dublin will be waiting there for me when I come back.

My first preference would be the Netherlands but if I didn't have that opinion I'd go for Canada.

North Spain is lovely - I've been to Basque country a few times & live in Asturias for a few years. Loved every minute of it.

Buenos Aires, New York, Barcelona or Stockholm. Have heard fantastic things about all these places. But Beijing has been good to me and will be back to that bustling metropolis Navan in two months so I'm happy for now!
