    Just found out my housemate has been doing this for the last few years :eek:

    At first I was horrified, but then I thought about it and tried it out for myself, once you get it down the drainhole and there's hot running soapy water too it's actually not as unhygenic as you think. Saves time too. Do you do this?

    I have heard that it is a very acceptable practice in fact, and that it saves water- read it in the Guardian actually sometime, it is probably possible to find the article by searching their site. Not taking the piss.

    Yes, sometimes the guardian tries too hard to cover "alternative views", so as not to lose it's liberal audience :rolleyes::rolleyes::D.
