    It was actually...

Parriera; "So, how many goals did your team score in the World Cup this year?"

    :D

    France have a new coach.

It has four wheels and it's took them to the airport a few hours ago.

There's more milage in this yet (ahem...)

I'm disappointed that there hasn't been a single "French team fly coach home after disasterous World Cup campaign" headline - surely it was the obvious choice?

    Actually it went like this:
Parreira: Good game. I know you've had a tough time of it lately but I wish you the best in all your future endeavours.

You see, Domenech is just a príck.

The England team will soon follow the French, and drop their manager off in Italy en route.

There was media talk today that none of the french players will be permitted to wear the national shirt from now on and that the French are going to look for a completely new team from all over france in order to start to build up from scratch.

Also the players were forced to fly 2nd class home as a punishment for their behaviour & there is a Sarkozy national enquiry to get to the bottom of exactly how the players and greater team behaved throughout all of this.

The BBC commentators are still going with the line "many past winners have started slowly"

I hope this comment doesn't come back to bite me in the ass

They're under so much pressure already by the England fans another couple of million supporting them would definitely be last straw. Cue France-style meltdown. :D

England are playing shíte. They'll probably win.

I'd love to see them going a couple of goals down with 20 minutes to go. Wayne Ronney then gets thick and tries to break someones leg.

Some nice build up play by England there.. they've a lot to prove so I can't see them losing this one

Fair play to the English fans - they're the only ones so far to make themselves heard over the noise of the vuvuzelas.

whilst i'm all for england, am surprised to see that, i prefer a bit of this

'Bring me my bow of burning gold:
Bring me my arrows of desire:
Bring me my spear: O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
    Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land'

The USA fans got in there as well in fairness. Something about that group. Maybe it's english speakers who can't stand the fecking things.

Rooney showing his one-dimensional style of play there, a quick pass to an unmarked milner and that could well have been in. Instead he hoofs it off-target while being tackled. :-/

Well done Defoe. Should have started the first two games.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,739 ✭✭✭✭starbelgrade

Heskey seems to have shrunk a bit over the last few days. Must be the heat.
