my long search from google has landed me here. so i might aswell give it a go,

im looking for a audio/voice program that enables me to write text and select a type of voice as the output rather than me recording my voice.

this needs to be used mail for animated movies/cartoons.

    cheers

    just google "text to speech".
There's loads of them. None too convincing though.

there's the same question on this forum... It greatly depends on what voices you have installed on your computer. I used it for a documentary once and worked out quite well. One of the companies that does the voices is called acappella http://www.acapela-group.com/index.html there are many more. Names escaping me at the minute
