Rattling Dashboard on Hot Days in a Toyota Avensis

    I have a 05 toyota avensis which I got in the autumn, I have noticed that the left side of the dashboard rattles or a cracking sound comes from it when I drive on rough roads or driving over potholes or speed ramps. It only seems to happen on very warm or hot days, which are few here. I have noticed that if I go for a drive in the evening or at night time, its stops. Has anyone suffered from this problem, and hopefully found a solution? I have heard that Corolla's, Lexus cars and Passats suffer from it aswell.

    My old Avensis used do it too, seems to be common enough on them. Got used to it in the end and it didn't bother me. My current car has a rattle coming from the housing around the back of the rear view interior mirror when I drive on gravel type roads. Think it wasn't fitted right when the previous owner had the windscreen replaced. Tried fixing it but gave up and just ignore it now.
