is this possible, i have a standard mk4 golf (01) and want to fit an
armrest, i can see in the centre console there are "pilot holes"
for what look like they could be used for an arm rest.

would i have to buy and adaptor kit along with an armrest and fittings
or just the armrest and fittings

    Regards Homer J

You can retrofit one alright. There is a section that pulls out of the centre console that part of the arm rest goes through. This bolts to a bracket you mount to the rear of the hand brake.

Plenty of genuine ones on ebay, don't buy non genuine as they fall apart.

OP if you decide to go ahead with this, let us know how it works out.

I've been looking at doing it, but I have the cream interior. Proving difficult to find a cream armrest
