World Cup in HD on UPC

    Hi all,

    Is it possible to watch every single match in HD via UPC? My understanding is BBC HD will be splitting the schedule of matches with ITV who UPC do not have a HD version of. Does this mean we will end up watching the BBC matches in HD and all other matches in SD on RTE or ITV?

    It's kind of ironic that (if my understanding is correct) you can get both ITV and BBC in glorious HD if you set up your Freesat with a London postcode instead of a Belfast postcode.

    Comments anyone?

    Unless Eurosport are showing live games (which I dont think they are) then you will only get the games shown on BBC in HD with UPC.

    How is it ironic? You can also get them on the EPG of a bog standard Sky HD box if you insert no viewing card.

    The Irony (from my personal viewpoint) is that you can get the entire world cup in HD free to air but not on your paid UPC service. ;)

    UPC have been advertising that you can watch every game on BBC HD and record them when in fact BBC haven't had all the games.
