Whirlpool Dishwasher Wont Stop Beeping

My Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG 7460 runs a quick rinse programme(maybe 2-3 minutes) and then stopped and starts beeping.

I need to hold down the start button to cancel the programme and close the door for a drainer/final rinse to perform then Im back to square one.

Each programme I select has the same problem.

Google tells me nothing helpful. All I can find are people immediately saying "Call an Engineer" without even trying to troubleshoot the problem.

The Manual does not even have a troubleshoot section.

    Any help?

you have to identify what should be happening at the time the beeper goes off -i think you have an element failure as in when the machine asks it to heat it cant so shuts down -
can you hear the water thrashing round ? just to rule out the motor
i think with some whirlpools the light flashes a certain number of times to indicate the fault area to engineer -see if you can work out the sequence and post back

integrated model might be a bit tricky for a diy fix if it is the element

I had this recently. Was diagnosed as new part needed from the fault code shown. Had parts warranty so called out engineer. Turned out a wire was loose underneath - might be worth having a look before you get someone out.

If you have to call someone out you will need to pull it out yourself. Make sure you confirm the callout charge up front and try to get the diagnostics done over the phone so they can bring a replacement if there is a faulty part, if not they may have to come back and charge you a second time.
