Hoping to get some honest opinions on these lamps. I was thinking about getting a set for a 2005 2.0 tdi A4 but im afraid i might be seen as one of the boyracer types

They look fine but I cant remember what the genuine A4 ones look like. Can you afford OEM ones or did they come in for a later generation of A4?

The main point I wanna make though is in a few years (at least the plan is) every new car will have to have them and for good reason so I wouldnt worry about it too much.

You wont be seen as a boy racer by most normal people but you will be seen which is the reason behind them.

Thats a very good point! The EU wants all cars will be fitted with daytime lights and thats what these are.

Does it matter what other people think OP? If you like them then go for it. It's your car, your choice.

They'd probably look crap on an A4, but would look good on an A4 1.9TDi RS4! ;)

+1 they look awful! Plus they look more like A5 than R8.

I think it really depends on the car to be honest.. I'm still tempted by these for my Passat:

Yeah they would look tacky on an A4 or A5 but cool on a passat, dont do it man.Keep the money and put it towards nice rims or decent suspension.

Not bad but not great.. I wouldn't spend the money on them to be honest.

Those LEDs look a lot bigger than the R8 ones (on the A5 too, no?). Also they don't look as white.

But if you like them, buy them, who cares.

Don't have a pic of it, but a Santa Fé drove past me the other day which had a mesh grille instead of the standard grill and had what I call it's 'eyebrow' strip light replaced with LEDs.

Don't think I'd be bothered at tarting my poor old SF up - bit like dressing mutton as lamb - but it suited the look of the vehicle I thought.

I met one of the older models in cork with the circular fog lamps. He had those leds wrapped inside the fog light in a circle. Talking about felt spec.....:pac:

I think that there may be a bit of work in to fitting them. On the Audis with it fitted already the LEDs dim when the indicators come on. You may fail your NCT if you cannot wire this in.

TBH i think they look tacky on even new audi's that have them as standard even the R8

If they are original equipment on a car, then all is well but otherwise no.
