No dialling tone when I plug in line to Sky HD box

No problems for the first few weeks after installation, now when the HD box is plugged into the phone line the phone won't work. I have multiroom and the other box is plugged in and doesn't effect it. Any ideas? Want to avaoid ringing them if possible. Phone line unplugged at the moment.

Do you have broadband? If so you mite need a filtter to be placed on the phoneline going into the skybox..Also if your number is ex-directory you will require to put in 142 in the prefix..or it may not do a call back..

thanks, no DSL, eircom tried the line and it didn't work - actually that's around the time I started to have the problems. I'll try the filter anyway.
