Yeah, quite a few people I spoke to found it kinda hard aswell.
Q1 C (ii) & Q2 C (i) took me ages to get but I ended up with €60,000 and 2%!

OK that sample answer I posted for DKZ earlier was wrong, retrying here.
-x²–4x+5 = -(x+1)²-4(x+1)+5
-x²-4x+5 = -(x²+2x+1)-4x-4+5
-x²-4x+5 = -x²-2x-1-4x-4+5
-x²-4x+5 = -x²-6x
-10x+5 = 0
-10x = -5
10x = 5
x = 0.5
EDIT2: Wait, that's still looking wrong lol.
2x+5 = 0
2x = -5
x = -2.5
is that it? I forget what I ACTUALLY did now
EDIT2: I know it's one question and probably only a slip, but no matter how many times I redo the question it doesn't fit what I did in the exam :S0 -

Sorry I'm just browsing the boards and haven't done the Junior Cert. There is a small error in the formula above. Surely it should be 1+-3√ 30 -

Hey everyone! Didn't think it was too hard, got the hard ones I've never gotten before right so I'm happy
For that question I got -2 +- 3√3. Dunno if it's right though cuz it had to be a positive number.0 -

I got that too! My theory is that it was origionally a positive number and that the formula was the only reason it's negative so maybe -2+-3√3 is right?
That;s what i got anyway.
Oh crap.
I think I totally got f(x)=f(x+1) wrong.
I freaking proved it instead of solving it...CRAP!0
