Hey, I'm Chloe, and I joined the forum just so I could hold massive post-mortems on my exams :D

I thought the paper was easy enough, except for Q5 (c). Ooooh dear.

What answer did ye get for compound interest on Q2C

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,347 ✭✭✭Closed ac

So, so easy. I only didn't get the answer to Q4 C (iii) and Q5 C (ii) but I still attempted them so I'll get marks. Otherwise, I think I got the rest. :)

I didn't get the Venn Diagram till the end...
I attempted it at the start and started getting all thes long numbers and stuff so I left it and came back to it at the end...
    Please someone say that X=7

Thought it was fairly east apart from the very lsy part of question 3. I took a stab at it anyway. Over all I'm over the moon with it. If that doesn't get me an A I don't know what will tbh.

    D:

x = 6 and I'm pretty sure of it cause when you added up the seperate cicles they were spot on with x as 6... Well at least I hope so!

Thought it was easy enough. Redid questions I didn't get in the last 30 min and got some decent looking answers!:)

Delighted with. I'd say I got almost full marks. The only question I didn't answer correctly was the one, in the a ±b√b

I made a small multiplication mistake the first time I did it. With 2 minutes to go, I started trying to find the mistake. Found it and was working my way through correcting it when your one was like "Pens down now. I said PENS DOWN!" 20 more seconds was all I needed to fix it! :( T'was only a slip though. Other than that, I think I had every other answer right

    Venn diagram: x=10

Anyone do ordinary maths? What was up with that graph Q near the start?
And the last graph aswell,it wasn't the normal U shape was it?

I think I fooked up this exam:(

For 3Cii, it said give it as a±b√b where a,b Are natural numbers (Positive whole numbers). Using the -b±b^2 formula, I got -1±3√3
THIS IS WHERE I GOT SERIOUSLY CONFUSED
    I got -1±3√3, but.. isn't -1 not a natural number?
This was the only difficult part of the exam. Either the question was badly phrased and it meant "where a, b e Z" instead of "where a, b e N", but I don't know.

    Also, yeah, x=10 for Venn

    The answer was like 6 but I said 3 + 1√9 which equals 6 :)

    Hope that was right anyways!

Well what was the value of b? Are you sure that B was positive? It could have been negative, so when you put it into the formula it would turn positive?

    she found it really difficult.
I asked her about the venn diagram (since ye were saying x=10) and asked what she got. "oh, i got that right, x was 20":D
    *sigh*
I won't break her heart and tell her it was 10. She like paper 2 though!

Yeah, quite a few people I spoke to found it kinda hard aswell.

    Q1 C (ii) & Q2 C (i) took me ages to get but I ended up with €60,000 and 2%!

I think I could get 100% in paper two if I started learning theorems...The rest of that paper is easy tbh!
