Saw a lot of sites online and also on ebay about paying to name a star for a loved one

In short, nothing. All the name a star companies are pure BS where your name is only in their DB but no where else.

afaik theres nothing to stop multiple websites naming the same stars

its a fun gift and priced at about €22 - €30. - don't be bothered with anything over €30,

same with acre of moon etc.

you get map, certificate & info and a few brownie points if the person appreciates it.
