Question on switching from UPC to Sky

I know this is probably asked alot, but I have the standard NTL/UPC box (not the + box, the old basic one) and am looking into switching to Sky due to their current offer of €22 with €2 extra per pack, seems to be much better value than the €35 I would be paying for upgrading to the UPC Digital +, and also obviously Sky+ is a far superior product overall. But what I am wondering what happens with the TV's in the rest of my house? I only have the basic analogue on them with the 15 or so channels, but need to know if I get Sky in my living room, will I lose the standard analogue in the rest of the house and be forced to pay for multiroom Sky? And if not, will I still have to pay for the €21 a month for the standard UPC Analogue, as well as the Sky fee? Thanks.:)

If you switch to sky and cancel your UPC subscription you will lose your tv reception in the other rooms so your options would be as follows

    1. Get a multiroom sub at €7.50 for second box for first 12 months.

    2. Connect sky box to secondry room, this will show you the same channel in there, you could install a magic eye there which would allow you to change the channel in second room.

    3. Put up a terrestrial aerial to receive RTE channels, once off charge...pipe to whatever rooms you require.

    4. Install Free to air satellite, freesat system...for free channels such as bbc and itv to name but a few...once off charge

    5. A mixture of any combination of the above..

    hope that helps..
