adding ringtones to Iphone.

    Probably an obvious answer , but I can't figure out how to get a sound clip I have on the Iphone to use as a message or ring tone ehh,tone.Is it possible?

    you need to convert it to aac. then to m4r.
    search for previous posts, i wrote a detailed description 1-2 weeks ago :D

    Thanks for that kopite davo, the iringer suggestion on the other thread seems an easier solution,if only I could get into the iringer site. Every link I click brings up a blank page.

    the longer way looks a lot harder than it is, i've created a few ringtones that way

    It's ridiculous that you can't just set an MP3 in your iPod libaray as a Ringtone. All other phones do it this way..

    Hey lads thanks for the help. Eventually got that iringer up and running. The problem I had with the 'long version' was that the tune I wanted to make a tone from wouldn't convert to aac. Iringer sorted it though. Cheers.

    my mate told me about this app in cydia that lets you convert your songs on iphone to ringtones , ringtones3 its called gonna try it out now .

    Let's you convert any YouTube video , song , sound clip quickly and easily into a ringtone . It will convert and mail it to you aswell.

    Great for making your favourite movie sound bite into a ring or message tone.
