Where will we be technology wise. The industrial revolution and electronic revolution has made the progress in technology so rapid. Where will we be in a thousand or a million years (if man is still alive). Will we all be gentically engineered to absorb masses of info from the t'internet with ease? Silicon brains for some?

In a million years, the green party's taxes on free stuff will have made the planet so clean that we'll have no immune system and all be dead from an outbreak of fish flu.

People have no idea what it's going to be like in 50 years time nevermind a million.

But if I had to guess I'd say we'll all be eating patented space age moon waffles.

We'll just be calling them waffles since we'll be living on the moon!

As a species we may not exist as humans, we could very possibly evolve into transhumans or something like that.

Cyberdine will rule the planet, sending out their variatons of Arnie about the place.

Either that or we'll be floating brains.

Easily done. We just put a layer of N type magnets under the ground and S type's on our boards. Then a small C02 propeller and we're good to go.

This may effect out gravitational equilibrium if it's done on a global scale and we can't wear metal anymore but other than that I don't see an issue.

i give us 300-400 years left in this world. in a million years? i reckon wildlife and nature would have fixed most things that we ****ed up by then.

A million years is way to long to even hazard a guess, a million years ago the human didn't really even exist yet.

I don't think the human species will be wiped out, bar something completely destroying earth but it would have to be even more major than the strike that took out the dinosaurs. I think the way we live now will ultimately cause a mass drop in the human population but by most accounts that could be the best thing that could happened to the species at this point.

Population will have to find a balance, if we want the population to be able to grow indefinitely we need to start moving people off the planet and it's as simple as that.

Some non-human archaeologist will be digging up our bones & city ruins, examing them and coming to the conclusion that we were a bunch of brainless, aggressive, violent and self destructive species. And how right they will be.

If you consider how far we have evolved in the last 10,000 years and then multiply that level of development by 100 it gives you some idea of the scale of development possible. Homo hyper-sapiens will be able to recognise some physical resemblance with homo sapiens but overall will have changed radically. All physical work will be done for humans whose life expectancy by then will, on the scale of development to date, be quite likely to be over 20o years using cloning to substitute body bits as they wear out. The only physical activity we do will be to exercise to keep our bodies and minds in shape. The extent of research available on history will be unlimited at least back to 1990 or thereabouts since every post such as this will remain available. Any messages you want to leave folks?

i remember when chikatee's were only 10p for a pack... They cost something like 60c now.... I'd hate to see how much they'd be after a million years worth of inflation...
