Bank = 10 points ( +/- 0 Points ) Profit in Blue, Debt in red please. Level in black

    Bet 1 = David Villa Topscorer @ 8/1 (Various bookmakers) 2pts
Nothing too intricate here,I see Spain going far and with ahandy enough group Villa can bang them in.

    Closing Bank = 8 points

    In Play = 2 points

  • Registered Users Posts: 951 ✭✭✭Verance

Bet 1 = Mexico to qualify from Group A (Evens)
USA to qualify from Group C (7/10)
8 points double with PP pays 2.4/1 :)

    Closing Bank = 2 points
    In Play = 8 points

    Selection 1

Golden Boot: Robin Van Persie 16/1 (Stan James) 2pt win

Arguably the best striker in the world. Fresh and fit (after an injury scare last week). Think Holland will go all the way to the Final.

    Selection 2

Golden Ball: Robin Van Persie 33/1 (Boylesports) 2pt win

    As above.

    Selection 3

To Reach the Final: France 9/1 (Betfred) 3pt win

    Selection 4

Top Scorer/Winning Team: Holland/Van Persie 50/1 (Stan James) 1pt win

    Selection 5

Straight Forecast: Holland/France 175/1 (Paddy Power) 2pt win

    Total staked: 10pt

    Good luck!!

    Antepost Betting

    To Reach 1/4 Final: 1pt Serbia @ 16/5 (Paddypower)

    Bank: 8pts

Van Persie is proving to be very popular, not just in this thread, but I was talking to another extremely knowledgable football fan last night and he was very very positive about Van Persie. Might put some on shortly:cool:

    He's been backed in from 40's +

Fantastic bet if he stays fit.

1 forseeable problem is if the Dutch win their first 2 matches, he'll be rested for the final group game.

Bank = 10 points ( +/- 0 Points ) Profit in Blue, Debt in red please. Level in black

    Bet 1 = Kaka Topscorer @ 40/1 (Various bookmakers) 0.5pts
No particular reason, he was just the one who jumped out at me at a big price:)

    Closing Bank = 9.5 points

    In Play = .5 points

Bank = 10 points ( +/- 0 Points ) Profit in Blue, Debt in red please. Level in black

    Section 1

Bet 1 = Brazil to win the World Cup outright and David Villa Top Scorer - 50/1 w/Paddy Power - 3 points win

Brazil always find their form on the big stage, they have an easy enough group and second round. Spain have an easy group so I see Villa scoring a bucket load.

    Closing Bank = 7 points

    In Play = 3 points

    Section 2

Bet 2 = England to win the World Cup outright - 7/1 w/Paddy Power - 2 points win

Have a strong team with a very good manager all the ingredient to sucess.

    Closing Bank =
    5points

    In Play = 2 points

    Section 3

Bet 3 = Fabiano World Cup Top Scorer - 10/1 w/Paddy Power- 2 points win

He was brazil's top scorer in the qualifiers and he takes the peno's.
    Closing Bank = 3 points

    In Play = 2 points

    Section 4

    Bet 1 = Brazil to win the World Cup outright - 9/2 w/Paddy Power - 3
    points win

    Already said above.

    Closing Bank =
    0 points
    In Play = 3 points

Also interesting that we have had some stake their entire bank on outrights. It will be very interesting to see whether it proves more profitable than match betting, or a mixture of both

lm gona go for the h/cap draw on every match as an experiment if nothing else.

it will be interesting to see how far l get with 10pts and if it makes a profit at all by the end.

l will use pp odds as its easier and will post up my first 10 matches in ur format when l have more time.

Cheers Delboy, This should be good fun. Fair play for organizing it.

Robbie, It would be class if PP's actually priced this up and took bets. We should e-mail them. :D

it could be worth e-mailing them to ask them to give a free bet as 1st prize.
they do get alot of free advertising after all on this forum.
maybe sirdellboy might give them a email :)

Is it 1pt breakdowns only or is 0.5pts allowed?

You can do .000005 point if you want, but at the end of the day, will you win if you dilute your stake to the .5 level? Unless its on something bigger with an outside chance i suppose it could be worth it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,146 ✭✭✭youcrazyjesus!

    Are exchange prices allowed?

Because obviously you could lay yourself 1st goalscorer at 999/1 and collect making it a farce.

Sorry for questions but better to get these things sorted now.
