I had a new most recent one now just a moment ago. I was genuinely impressed by your disgusting ignorance and stupidity at being impressed by animal cruelty.

Remind yourself of that line the next time you chew into a burger.

Not the same. Animals that are slaughtered for food are killed very quickly, not left to slowly bleed to death from small puncture wounds.

    This video

    Info:
A three-storey building has collapsed and fell into a huge sink hole in Guatemala City. The giant 200ft-deep crater appeared after Guatemala was hit by tropical storm Agatha, bringing torrential rains and causing deadly mudslides. Witnesses claim at least one man was inside the house when it was swallowed by a big hole, and several others remain missing.

    Are you sure about that?

After stunning, there is no requirement to ensure that animals are monitored to ensure they do not regain consciousness before slaughter. As a result, many of them are slaughtered fully concious, or wake up during the process.

This it is such a big issue that the EU have spent the last 8 years trying to bring about regulations that will force slaughterhouses to bring their standards into line with their recommendations, which are not expected to come into effect for at least another 3 years.

Other parts of the world, from which we import meat, have even lower standards than the EU.

So, next time you tuck into some meat, can you really be sure that the animal from which it came, died a painless death?

    No, you can't.

Sure, bullfighting is cruel, but often no less cruel than how animals are killed to put on your plate. If you see any difference between the two, you are simply being a hypocrite.

Yer man on Britain's Got Talent who regurgitates stuff.

My jaw dropped. How is that possible?! I call shenanigans. If it's not.. then I'm genuinely impressed, albeit mildly disgusted..

last time i was impressed was this morning when my son was coming up with a very good list of reasons why he should stay at home rather than go to school. it was a well thought out reasoned debate, which ended with him going to school (hes 12)

last time i was shocked was also this morning when i turned on the news and saw the taxi man in england who went nuts and killed 12 (?) people.

my frist thought was taxi man + shotgun = mega thread on ah.

    i need to get a life :D

It's not something that I saw or heard of that impressed me, but a few weeks ago, and now still, I was/am going through some pretty dark times, and my best friend used his spare time to come comfort me, to make sure I was ok, and to basically give me a lifeline.

That impressed me, purely because I thought nobody cared.

No shenanigans, I saw him do it live years ago, he's amazing!!

I was impressed by how so many people gave money to help people in Haiti, even though they're feeling the pinch in the recession
