This is all a make believe, because the strict gun laws we have in the UK have made sure that this can never happen

His poor mother must feel terrible. All she said to him this morning was:

"Derek lovey - would you ever shoot up town for a loaf of bread!"

Can we start banning people for truly terrible jokes?

Appaently his nickname was Birdy more like Cuckoo. The last his co workers seen of him was when he went to get a chicken in tesco last night.

i've a question for barry walker...how in the hell can there be varying types of shotgun wounds?

There's no need for jokes like that. A bit of sensitivity wouldn't go astray - 11 people are reported dead & all you are trying to do is ruffle a few feathers.

Varying kinds of shotgun shells (from birdshot to buckshot to solid slugs) and varying ranges.

Mind you, this seems to be a question in very bad taste given that the families of the victims probably haven't even been officially notified yet...

I would hesitate a guess to say that doctor ain't ever seen a close range shotgun blast with a 40/42g cartridge. Not very nice to say the least.

    Israeli Government Response:
"The gunman regrets the loss of life but did all he could to avoid violence. One of the victims attempted to defend himself with his shoe which obviously spooked the gunman."

    US Government Response:
"It appears that there was an incident during which a man in possession of a shotgun went crazy, and there's now a pile of bodies scattered around the place, so obviously until we know the facts we can't pass judgement on what took place. Regretful though."

Yeah, because massacres of this scale never get out of hand in countries where there are.

Jesus, a woman walking home with her shopping and a young farmer out cutting a hedge. He drove passed them, rolled down his window and shot them point blank range. Fcuking awful :( 5 dead, 25+ injured.

Yes, arming everyone will definitely reduce gun crime.

I don't see any flaw in that at all.

god help them and their families :(

Such anger at life. Why take it out on people trying to live theirs? I'm sure the gunman isn't the only person in the world who's had problems. Everyone has problems.

Apparently he had a fight with his fellow taxi drivers lastnight and they're among the casualties. Bad enough shooting them but going out and shooting an elderly lady doing her shopping, a man in his 60's out on his daily walk and a young farmer in his 30's going about his job just randomly like that....just horrible. RIP.

Presume the coward shot himself? No confirmation on that yet though.

    I was thinking that.
It seems a bit mad though.

"I'm just going to crawl into my boot, close it... Then I think I might shoot myself.

But then I guess, he was a serial killer, he was hardly the full flock of geese.
