Sid Lowe supports some small club like Real Oviedo.

    GK: Valdes

    RB: Avles
    LB: Maxwell
    CB: Pique
    CB: Puyol

    CM: Xavi
    CM: Sergio

    AMR: Messi
    AML: Iniesta

    CF:Villa
    CF: Ibrakadabra

I could see barca playing like that next season.

with maxwell and Avles overlapping allowing the wingers to play as inside forwards and cut inside a lot.

    Kinda of a 4-2-2-2.

    Dual pivot midfeild, old styleee.

Pep will sit down with Tito and Txiki later this week to discuss who is coming and going.

Man Utd interested in bidding for Bojan according to reports.

Keirrison could be on his way back to Brazil on-loan which would be a step backwards.

I read Santos have made an enquiry to Barca and seemingly Fiorentina have agreed to release him from their agreement.

I hate the way Barca have treated Keirrison. This lad is one of the most natural goalscorers I've ever seen, I just don't understand all the messing around with him.

I would love to see him in England, he is the old fashioned type centre forward, a big strong lad with two great feet and a good head on him too. Reads the game so well.

Eh, they've loaned him out for two seasons? Hardly Barca's fault that he's failed to impress at every club he's been at...

That is a bit ott. He went to Benfica on loan as it was suppose to help him settle being a portuguese speaking country and get him use to european football. He didnt have the favour of the coach as Saviola and Cardozo were banging in the goals and when he did play he wasnt in very good form. I dont think he scored a goal. It was also his decision to want to change clubs halfway through the season. It is hardly Barca's fault.

Oh right so thats the way Barca do things now is it? Just buy up players and throw them off on loan, no chance of football at the club that signed you. Obvously things didn't work out at Benfica but sending him straight off on another loan spell after that is crazy, new country again, new language again.

Seriously brother - when in a hole and all........

You obviously dont know too much about the situation to be frank.

Barca were quite close and keen on sending him to Zaragoza who wanted the chap but the player favoured the move to Fiorentina.

He claimed that they were following him since his time in Brazil.
“Even when I was still playing for Coritiba, Fiorentina were following me”, revealed the Brazilian for the Italian press.

“When I was informed that Fiorentina are considering signing me, I told my representatives yes immediately as I wanted to join a club that had always appreciated me. It’s the best choice for me.”

The word is that Toure will move to the premiership within days - City favs, Utd and also Chelsea.

Barca to up efforts to sign Juan Mata.

Barca are still the top ranked side in the world according to the FIFA recognised International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

An all Barca central midfield to face South Korea with Iniesta partnering Xavi, up to 7 changes expected for that match.

Jonathan Dos Santos has been omitted from the Mexico World Cup squad.

Caceres will head back to Barca after Juve decided against signing him.

Gai Assulin father has travelled to England to meet with Arsenal and City officials seemingly - big disappointment should he leave.

Henrique could be sold after Barca decided on selling him to the highest bidder - no guarantee that will be Racing were he spent last season on loan.

+1, where are they going to play him?

He'll most likely end up stuck on the bench getting a few minutes here and there when a game is won when Pep takes off Messi/Villa/Pedro/Iniesta.

The talk of Mata is linked to the departure of Ibra according to the press.

That'd make sense then as he can be cover for Messi and competition with Pedro.

They've come out and said Ibra is not for sale.
    Laporta:
"Ibra is not for sale. He is a very highly-valued player, and I know the coaches count on him. The signing of Villa does not affect the future of Ibra."

Who'd realistically buy him this summer and be able to pay his wages etc..

Yeah but then after that Laporta said something about considering selling him after the comments his agent made.

The best bet would be City but would Ibra want to go to City?

Pretty sure Ibra himself said he does not want to move to England. if he goes, and it is an unlikely if, his destination is AC Milan.

City are offering €35m for Ibra but Barca are asking closer to €50m according to reports.

Valdes should play some part against the Koreans and thus make his debut at 28

Pre-season will start on 19th July for Barca.

Chyg could be a part of a deal to bring Fabregas to Camp Nou.

35 mill to City? They're offering 30 for Milner. Can't see this one happening.

    Hold on to your hats...........
Club Director General Joan Oliver has confirmed that Barca have made a formal written offer to Arsenal for Cesc Fabregas.

During the presentation of the club’s new sponsorship deal with Herbalife, Joan Oliver revealed more details of the negotiations with the London club to sign Cesc.

    Formal transfer period opens

Sr Oliver explained: “everybody knows that Cesc wants to sign for Barca and that we also want him to come here, but there is also a third party involved –Arsenal. Any agreement has to be with them. The official window for transfer negotiations opened on June 1st and although we’d had unofficial conversations with them before yesterday, we’ve now made a formal written offer, which we presented to Arsenal yesterday afternoon”.

    Yuste is optimistic

Club Vice-President Rafael Yuste also spoke of Cesc’s possible signing and claimed: “I’m optimistic that he’ll be able to sign for Barca as soon as possible and it’s clear that everybody here will give him a warm welcome. We’ll do nothing that might make it more difficult for him to come here and we won’t rush things – but we won’t stop either!”

Yuste gave no more details, explaining that Txiki Beguiristain and Raül Sanllehí were leading the negotiations.

We've way too many CBs. Puyol, Pique, Marquez, Milito, Chygrynsky, Henrique, Cacares (and then the likes of Muniesa in the reserves). Ship a few off Pep.

Henrique is seemingly up for sale and offers will be entertained for both Caceres and Marquez.

And with any luck Chrgy will go in the Cesc deal.

Add to that Yaya Toure should he stay is a more than capable CB.

    Jonathan has signed until 2012.

Bit of a lift me up for the chap after being dumped by Aguirre.

Bit ott with Gio seemingly going to leave the squad in protest.

Hunter reckons Barca will include Toure in a deal for Cesc but Arsenal seemingly want €87m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boy is good but he aint €87m good.

The results are in. 2,095 signatures were required to be viable:

    Sandro Rosell (13,618)
    Marc Ingla (4,744)
    Jaume Ferrer (4,442)
    Agustí Benedito (2,896)
    Jaume Guixà (1,845)
    Alexis Plaza (1,209)
    Santiago Salvat ? (1,100)

Reports that Rosell will employ Koeman as Sports director to replace Txiki :(

This season he got over a goal and an assist every second game. The win ratio with him in the side increases by something in the region of 15-20% which is ridiculous (with Vieira it was something like 7%). He's only just gone 23 and should have near a decade of play at the highest level left in him. He's a phenomenon and worth every cent :P

With the ridiculous talents of Xavi and Iniesta already at Camp Nou an €87m backup/eventual successor is not required this summer. It would be nuts to hand over such a fee. I reckon if a deal is done it will be closer to €50m or perhaps €35m plus Toure which wouldnt be a bad deal either.
