Reflector - Circular or rectangular?

    Hi guys.. just trying to get a few bits to help with my portraits.. Want to get a reflector and not sure which shape or size to get. At present I will only be working with natural light..
    Most I have been looking at are round, but wondered if the rectangular one might suit a full body portrait more :confused:

    Any ideas/opinions appreciated ;)

    I think you should go for the round one.....then you can have mine 'cos I don't use it :)

    actually there is a 3rd option

    triangle

    i have a lastolite tri grip, its solid.ie doesnt bend when you hold it at the edge etc and as it has a solid hangle it is much easier to hold

    Thanks for that :) I'm on a budget, I'm presuming this one is a little dearer :confused:

    maybe theres a fourth solution - bookends you can make them yourself too, using foam or white sheets from art/craft store

    The biggest and probably the only problem with the a reflector is they can be hard to handle while taking photos. They are very unwieldy, especially in even a light wind. Something a bit more sturdy with a handle for better grip is the triangular one that stcstc mentioned. There's one made by Lastolite. It's called the Trigrip and looks IMO to be very good. Comes in a range of sizes. Here's a some videos. :)
