    Hi folks,

Ok so i always wanted to do a triathlon so i entered the dublin city triathlon which is on 29th August giving me about three months. i'm pretty fit generally (always been into running) but the swimming is gonna be the biggest hurdle!

its only the sprint tri im doing now and its even shorter than most sprint i think so the swim is only 600m but do i have enough time to get up to this?? the most i can swim at one time at the mo is 200!! going swimming 3 times a week now to try get this up!

Then the cycle, its a 16k cycle, only got on the bike this week, i don't have a racer but i've been told for your first tri just use whatever you have (which is a mountain bike!) is this ok/?acceptable?

I'm pretty sorted for the run so not too worried about that!

Any tips, advice or suggestions greatly appreciated!!

No bother to you! Google triathlon begineer training plans and give it 12 weeks training and you'll storm through it.
