Went in to athlone town a couple of hours ago, both myth n magic and eclipse were closed, so i chanced mary discount asked behind the counter and they had new pills, Smoke 2 joosey and told me they were getting new smokes in this week as well as bathsalts!.. smoke 2 tastes like shyte, don't bother with it!

But what i want to know is how they are allowed to sell again, also what is the story with other headshops across the country, what is your local selling?

Don't know as I don't use them, however I'm happy that they're open again. A bit of tax revenue over drug dealers is what I'd rather any day.

Don't they only have to change the ingredients slightly to get things put back on the shelves?

    Anybody see crimecall last nite?

They had cctv footage of two guys burning a headshop in Dublin.
the pushed the staff into a back room where there was no way out, drenched the shop in petrol and set light to it.
The staff were forced to run through the flames to get out...its a miracle nobody was killed.

I know a girl who'd ordered a bunch of stuff the day before the ban and she was told not to worry, that they'd known the ban was coming (it just came quicker than expected) & would have new stuff in soon and be able to fulfill the order.

Usually because the threads descend into a discussion as to what products are available, which is against the charter. General discussions are OK, but a thread like this, which started out as a chat about what's for sale, isn't.
    Rules on drug discussion
    The following are not permitted:

    * Asking / telling where to buy drugs.
    * Asking / telling how to take drugs.
    * Asking / telling how to grow drugs.
    * Asking / telling how to get a fake ID.
    * Advising other users to take drugs.

Note that these rules apply to both illegal drugs and the legal alternatives you can buy in head shops. The admins do not want to be held responsible for posts telling people where to get drugs of any kind. You can argue about the legality all you want as long as you abide by these rules.

They seem to be re-opening all over the place

According to local gardaí the owners of Rasta power surrendered the stock that was made illegal last week voluntarily and without any problem. Within three days the stock had been replaced with new brands and examination by the authorities of the stock will be ongoing to make sure it complies with the new laws.

loads of headshops are still open but the 'legal highs' are all ****e. the products that were gettin ya off yer chops - properly off yer chops - are banned and new ones are covered by a clause in the legislation that basically puts the onus on the seller to get the chemical/product passed by a review board before it goes on sale.

the 'system' hasn't been tested yet because - as far as i'm aware - no new products have arrived yet

Hmmm, aren't alcohol and cigerettes legal drugs as well?! No talking about where to get your next pint or 20 johnny blue so

Great to see the headshops opening again, fair play to them opening again in spite of the drug dealer threats.

Joe Duffy and his merry band of shreiking harpies have a lot to answer for. I wonder how they feel about people nearly getting killed in their 'crusade' against head shops

Just to point out - I didn't write the charter & I am not a moderator. I was simply answering a question as to why I think that similar threads have been locked.

In relation to discussion of cigarettes - they are generally moved to the smoking forum or closed, and as there is no drinking forum, I assume that is why they are kept open.

Though if you want further clarification on this, maybe Feedback is the appropriate place?

i got a bag of joosey, it was ok for them to sell it before and after the ban - all it did was make me feel like i'd inhaled the business end of a blowtorch. it's pure muck. ive tried all the 'herbal blends' since and there's not one like bonzai or king b. best off going hanging around with scumbags and dealers if ya want smoke - that what the government want you to do after all
