BRITNEY Spears wants to be frozen after her death so she can be brought back to life later.
The Sun reported the 28-year-old Womaniser singer wants her body preserved in liquid nitrogen and is investing in an Arizona firm that specialises in cryogenic freezing, a friend of the star said.
The Alcor Life Extension Foundation is one of the oldest companies of its kind, founded in 1972. On its website, the company gives its aim as: "Using ultra-cold temperature to preserve human life with the intent of restoring good health when technology becomes available to do so."
But the Foundation is no stranger to controversy.
Last week, a US judge ordered the family of 81-year-old Orville Richardson to dig up his corpse so his head could be frozen as per a contract he had signed with the company in 2004, for a fee of $53,500.
And last year ex-employee Larry Johnson alleged, in his book Frozen, that a former baseball star's head stored on the premises had been walloped by staff practicing their batting swing.
A friend of Spears said: "Brit gets these obsessions and this is the latest.
"It started when someone told her Walt Disney had been preserved by cryogenics to be revived in the future.
"That was a myth but it got her researching the foundation and she became convinced it was worth a shot.
"Brit found the whole thing so interesting she spent most of her Mother's Day trip to Disneyland researching the subject on the internet while a nanny took the boys round the park.
"She looked into having her ashes turned into diamonds after she is gone but settled on the chance of getting to live in the future."
If she goes ahead and signs the contract, her passing will certainly attract more than the usual amount reserved for a celebrity death.
According to Alcor, the cryonics process should begin within the first two minutes after a heart stops, and preferably within the first 15 minutes.

So would you want to immortal? Personally, I couldn't be arsed with it. One life is a hard enough struggle.

Pretty retarded. Freeze yourself to be a old person in the future where you won't be famous, will be broke probably, all your family dead and muslims everywhere.

This kind of story is very similar to the "lol Michael Jackson is such a freak lol" reports you'd hear in the 80s and 90s. And look what happened to him.

    /moralising

She could attain immortality by starting a bicycle manufacturing company called Britney Spears Bikes Inc.

There would be four categories: Town Bike, City Bike, Country Bike and Village Bike.
