This is kinda sad,kids of today have NO IDEA what "good" sound is.......

Giving up my iPod for a Walkman

When the Sony Walkman was launched, 30 years ago this week, it started a revolution in portable music. But how does it compare with its digital successors? The Magazine invited 13-year-old Scott Campbell to swap his iPod for a Walkman for a week.

When I wore it walking down the street or going into shops, I got strange looks, a mixture of surprise and curiosity, that made me a little embarrassed.

Im sorry but i wouldnt give a rats tail who thought what of what i had!!

I prefer QUALITY and Walkmans (ANALOGUE) produce much better quality than these digital pieces of garbage!!

I read that a while back and the funniest part of it was when the kid thought the 'Metal' switch on the Walkman was a genre specific button.

I thought it was funnier that it took him a while to figure out that you could turn over the tape..... my walkman chewed up ALL of my Smiths tapes. Not one other tape over the years of school and college. It had a serious dislike of Morrissey

Yeah, I read it last year.

I'm relieved that the majority of technological advancement happened before I was born, as I can't imagine having to use such basic equipment every day.

And in 30 years time, kids will be scoffing at the huge devices we're using today which weighed down your pocket, weren't web-enabled (mostly) and you had to use your hands to do anything with them.

And there are those of us who will continue using things FROM THE PAST as much as we are able that work better/produce better results
