    Hi Folks.

A friend of mine is heading off to NYC for the summer to do waitressing.

As a little going away gift, I was thinking of getting her a professional (or really good) corkscrew.

Does anyone know where I could get one in Dublin?

I’m not looking for a tungsten tipped bullet proof one, just something more than the standard.

Kitchen Complements in Dublin city centre have two, but they’re a little bit basic.

    Thanks Folks.

I used to get really good Waiters Friends (the proper term for the one you are looking for) in the cigar shop across from Trinity, Foxes(?)

Try to get one with a sliding 2 step opener, I found them to be great.

However, don't spend a fortune on one, waiters a fickle bunch, and it'll probably go walkies.

    Thanks Sof.

Yeah I'm thinking of having it engraved too to stop that from happening :D

    Thanks again,

If you fancy getting her something else as well, depending on where she is going to to working, a cigar cutter might be a nice little extra as well as the bottle opener.

Again, Foxes (? I really can't remember the name of the shop, sells cigars, has a bunch of Victorinox Swiss Army stuff in the window) would sell these.

Its little things like these that we don't use a lot over here, that make the difference in tips and great tips over there.
