    Hi,
I wonder can anyone help me. I am trying to connect a Vodafone mobile broadband stick K3765 to/through a Edimax 3g-6210n router. The router is working fine.I have set up the following settings in the router.

    Pin. -
    APN. hs.vodafone.ie
    Usr Name. Vodafone
    Password. Vodafone
    Service. 3g/3.5g Only (UMTS/HSPA/HSDPA)
    At Dial Script. *9***1#

So far no sigh of the brodband stick.
    All help appreciated.

    thanks

    And on to Midband.

All the settings you have are correct, so whatever the problem, it's not them.

I'm confused by what you mean. Broadband stick? What are you talking about?

Did you test the Modem "stick" on a laptop?
Has it got a valid SIM and credit?
Did you power up the router with the "Stick" in it?
Is there a menu of Modems in the Router (there usually is, and often you must select one)?

Bad news Pedigree. It won't work.
If you check this forum you'll see I have a similar story. The K3765 is not compatible with Edimax router. I tried everything to get it working but eventually gave up and got a Dovado UMR. (which works perfectly).
The only other thing you can do it get an older vodafone stick and that will work with the router.

    HI
    Thanks to everyone for posts.
Reganovski yes i have come to the same conclusion the current Vodafone modem stick is a Huawei K3765 and it is not compatable with the Iedmax 3g 6210n. It is a pity as the Edimax seems to be a good little router.

I managed to get it working by using one of the older Vodafone modems the Huawie E220 (The one with the short lead).

Reganovski Is the Dovado UMR a wired and wireless router?

    Thanks

The Dovado UMR is a wireless router. I find it good, no problems really. Its a bit more expensive though. Check out the sticky at the top of this forum for more info on it
