not sure what you mean by 'anywhere that might load an ipod'? you have to be sure that the 'anywhere' putting music etc on the ipod has a licence to distribute the relevant copyrights... would suggest you post on the tech forum and see if someone can help you with ipod uploading...

Depends what you mean. Do you mean paying for downloads from iTunes or another paid store, or downloading music for free?

Don't mean to pry, just checking :)

No, I'm just looking for a place in Galway City that I could drop my ipod in and they would be able to load it up for me.

Can't do it myself. The bloody thing won't download.

Load it up, download - not sure what you mean. You are not being clear about what you want to achieve.

Do you want to put music on it?

We can't help you if you are not clear about what you want to do.

A few questions to make things easier:
Have you your own computer that you wish to connect the ipod too?
Is the itunes package loaded on that computer?
Is the music on that computer or is it on cd's or is it on the itunes store and you wish to purchase it via the itunes store

Are you having trouble downloading music or just downloading the itunes package?

There's a place above the joke shop on Shop street and there's ipod-rescue in Knocknacarra.
But the people in this forum can probably help you to fix it for free.

Again, you are going to have to be clear on what EXACTLY is happening and what EXACTLY you are doing.

When you say iTunes won't download, do you mean it won't download from the internet, or you have it downloaded and it won't install?

If you don't have iTunes installed, how did you buy songs?

What are you trying to run and what is corrupt? As in, what files are corrupt - the music files, or the iTunes file?

It sounds like its not completing the downloads of your iTunes purchases?
You should have these under the "purchased" section on the left in iTunes. Do you have that?

Why don't you just import a single CD in iTunes, make a playlist of it, and then transfer it over to your iPod. Start small, and work up.

It would be worth running some basic checks on your PC.

Is it possible you have no disk space left on the C: drive?

Go into My Computer and have a look - it should tell you there how much space is left.

Forgetting about iTunes, do you have any other problems with the PC?

You said you bought music from iTunes, but it won't accept iTunes?

    1) iTunes is an application on your PC that allows you to put music on your iPod.
    2) contained within iTunes is the iTunes Store, where you purchase and download music to your PC (into iTunes)

Edit: Just read your post, sounds like its running out of space.

It shouldn't DEMAND the latest version, it should just offer you the option??
    As Tom suggested above:

"Is it possible you have no disk space left on the C: drive?

    Where in Galway are you?
To start off I think you need to go onto your room mates laptop and go to download iTunesnoff the apple website .when it asks you to run or save select save it and save it to a USB key, the. Once it's downloaded plug the USB key into your laptop and run it so at least you l be on the latest version of iTunes
