I and others I play with recently purchased BBS from a well know shop for 10 euro for 6000, we should have know but were told that they were perfect so we grabbed a few bags. The next 3 skirmish days were an absolute disaster affecting all 7 guns brought out from marui pistols up to m60.Dry fires ,jams.no feed and a massive drop of 50-70 fps.3 other bb types were tried (Devil blasters, G&G Bios and Aimtop) after ranging from .2g to .28g.BE WARNED "DO NOT BUY THESE BBS"

    There's an old saying..actually 2 of them :D

1.You get what you pay for
    2. If it looks too good to be true, then it's not.

I know I Know we should have known but still......we were stuck as we were waiting for a bulk shipment to come from the uk.And as for a name there was none he was making the 6000 bags from a much larger bag.So just keep a heads up if you see 6000 for 10 euro stay away from them.Im picking up a digital scales and calipers over the week see what size they really were.

i dont think they were craptor.I had a look at them and they weren't the same as those excuse for bbs that he sold us.The craptors were more polished.I dont know what they were but i do know that they were a crock of sh** and hes lost himself a bunch of customers. When times are already tough.

In fairness, knowing they are brand X bb's is enough. OP why not contact the retailer and let him know his new batch is rubbish. He can then rectify the situation and stock better bb's in future.

Example, one of our retailers carried a line of aegs, many were returned with internal failures. The retailer fixed the aegs, and discontinued their sale. The retailer wasn't blamed, he fixed the issue and changed his stock accordingly.

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, I'm just saying we should stick to knowing the bb's are brand X, and let the retailer sort it out, rather than damaging their reputation potentially. They will change stock, we get better bb's, they keep their good name, I doubt a retailer would knowingly sell damaging bb's of unusable quality.

Im not sure were they craptor or not as he was filling blank ziplock bags with 6000 bbs taken from a bigger bag.I tried several time to call the shop but to no answer so I gave up on that and instead am just giving a heads up to others.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 2,654 Mod ✭✭✭✭horgan_p

The guy said he didnt think they were craptor though - see his post above.
I believe it can be sorted with 2 questions -

    1) did they come in a bag or a bottle ?
    2) what colour was the bag / bottle ?

Beyond that , return the bag to the place you bought them and ask politely for an exchange for perhaps a different brand or a replacement from a different batch.

They were in a large bag and the ziplock bags that i left the shop with had nothing on them. From the bags we bought there isnt much left as we played 3 days. Its not the money im looking for or a replacement. Its more just a warning to others.Im a bit pissed that he sold them and told us they were perfect and were just not as polished when obviously he hadn't tested them.

Exactly. Stick with G&G or Excel brand BBs. I've tried several shop brand bio and non-bio BBs from many shops, and you're taking a gamble. I've had them do everything from jam, to shred my hoprubber with ****ty seams and lack of polish.

As for raptors and markers, don't even get me started. You might as well put those yellow pound shop BBs in your guns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,061 ✭✭✭damagegt

I was buying bulk of gunfire bbs fromm the north and firing over 130000 of them not 1 jam and we were waiting for a delivery from the uk of strike master bios so we bought them here and payed the price.

G&Gs all the way ... false economy buying crappy cheap bbs as they're bound to cause trouble over the course of a day.

Don't mean to slander, but aren't Craptors (I like this new name) the "Own Shop Brand" BB's?

If you want good, cheap BB's, I owuld recommend TnT from Quality Airsoft Supplies (carlow and newbridge). They are the same quality as G&G (have had 4 bags of the stuff through a 6.03 precision barrel without a single mishap).

Don't bother with what? You haven't told us who you're talking about.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

well i worked it out and i think others have as well from what has been brought up, but the warning is a general one 'don;t use **** bbs'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 471 ✭✭roryk1

    wat bbs:confused::D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

The original poster does not know the brand they where taken from an unmarked sack into unmarked small bags, there is not brand of bb to give. The original poster also does not want to name the retailer from his post so instead gave a general warning

i do not see the problem with any of this, am i the only one getting this?
