This seemed pretty successful for the Battlefield 2 release day, I know I saved a few quid.

The cheapest I have heard so far is HMV Grafton street for €44.99 preorder and a free Blu Ray.

" So I decided to preorder today. Did it in HMV and there was no charge and every preorder customer gets a free Bluray of 3:10 to Yuma which is sweet and the game is €44.99 so pretty reasonable. "

It cant hurt to post the cheapest shops with the most stock on here.

I think thats pretty much going to be the best deal!

Agreed. No HMV near me so €55 for Special edition in Gamestop will do.

Im pretty confident that HMV will be the best bet. They have been for a long time now and the free blu-ray only sweetens the deal. Might pop in and pre book it today.

Unless Harvey does his 37.99 launch day deal.

I tried in Xtra Vision last night

Eh do you have a game called Red Dead Redemption to the girl about 18 behind the counter.

Yeah we do but it is priced at €100 which means its not out yet

    Dammit!

HMV seem to be the best option at €44:99 plus the free Blu Ray, so I pre-ordered in there today.

Did a little check around a few of the shops in the Blanchardstown town centre on a few games
to trade in to off-set the price and got the following trade in prices.

    HMV GAME Gamestop

    Splinter Cell Conviction €33 €35* €25

    Heavy Rain €31 €35* €25

    Alan Wake €33 €35* €25

    * trade in value against RDR only.

anyone know what games xtravision are accepting in their "trade in 2 games" offer for red dead?

Pre-ordered in HMV Henry St yesterday (evening), and picked it up just now. No Blu-Ray. They're out of disks. Can't say I was surprised - what was a v big pile of RDR boxes yesterday is looking pretty low now. Sales guy reckoned they'd sell out today.

There was a shortage of PS3 stock - simply put not enough was produced in time for release day. All retailers orders were cut and were given a percentage of what they actually ordered as an allocation. There is more due in early next week.

Anyone know if HMV in Blancardstown are sold out on PS3,I don't have access to a phone at the moment so I can't ring but I will be over that way later, also anyone know who in Dublin has the special edition left for PS3.
