Open source install creator that can use http

    Hi,

    I need to create an installer that can make a http post and read the response. This is to verify an inputted seria lis valid.

    Are there any open source install makers that can do this? The easier to use the better.

    I've found the Nullsoft Installer excellent, simple and effective, very easy to use - installers are defined in simple scripts which you compile to produce your installer binary. It's very widely used on both commercial and non-commercial projects.

    Re your particular problem, it has a plugin mechanism which is usually where you'll find extended functionality. This plugin sounds like it might do the trick;

    That's perfect thanks, I had come across that installer last night but the plugins aren't named very well and it was hard to find one that might be suitable.
