Have songs, want band! Stone Roses/Charlatans, Dublin

Hello.

Right where to start...I'm a 25 year old guitarist/keys player/songwriter, looking to start a band from scratch, hopefully in time for the summer sun (when it comes). I love spacey, happy tunes with good beats, that remind you of summer and doing nothing all day. Stone Roses, Charlatans, Supergrass, that kinda thing.

They're just ideas and demos, I've played/programmed all the parts and recorded them at home/work, really they're just guides, something to jam out when I hopefully get some heads together. I'm 100% open to having my songs completely ripped to shreds and reconstructed. I've loads and loads of other stuff written that's ready to be jammed out too.

I can play guitar and keys. I have to admit, I'm quite rusty, neglected practice after starting work (which is music related ironically), but I will be doing one or the other in this band so will get my chops back up to scratch quickly.

Having said I work...I've also loads and loads of free time, I want this to be serious. This won't be a "practice once a week in a rehearsal studio" band. 2/3 times a week, anything less is a hobby.

So I'm looking for...at this moment, mostly a drummer and lead guitarist. I'll be playing either rhythm, lead or keys. Once that's done, I'll be looking for a singer. But if there's anybody in the meantime liking the tunes that's a singer/keys/whatever, get in touch anyway.

Sorry, a bit long, so to recap:

Band Name: None yet. We Are Communairo sounded good at the time but is actually terrible.
Band Genre: Alternative/Indie/Pop
Band Location: Dublin
Influences: The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, Kasabian, Shed Seven, Supergrass, The Bluetones, Jefferson Airplane, The Smiths, The Byrds
Positions Available: Everything really, concentrating at the moment on a drummer and lead guitarist.
Desired Age Range: I suppose 21-30 would be good.

Really want to get it up and running. Combine resources and get gigging in time for summer? Our influences are mostly post-punk and american-indie but not exclusively. examples. the smiths, the cure, band of horses, midlake, death cab for cutie.

Hey man we're a psychedelic rock 'n' roll band called The Anoraks and are looking for a keys/organ player with guitar and backing vocals if you'd be interested! We have 2 songwriters but another would be even better and we'd love to get some 3-part harmonies goin!

We have 4 members currently who are all on the same page and are heavily influenced by: The Beatles, Kinks, Stones, Doors,Stone Roses, Kasabian, Oasis, Charlatans, OCS, Weller, Supergrass, The Coral etc.

I know you're looking to get your own band off the ground but it's impossible to find people on the same wave and into the same music in this town! We're working on getting signed this year and are in the midde of recording our debut single and EP so it's defintiely not a hobby for us.

I'm a guitarist who'd be definitely interested in this, I'm heavily influenced by Oasis, The Beatles the and Stone Roses.

Hi they

Im a lead guitar player based in Kilcock looking to join a covers or originals band.

I'm playing for 15 years, and been in all types of bands, originals/covers, classic rock, punk, funk, metal, Thin Lizzy tribute band, soul.

My main influences would be, 60's 70's classic rock but to be honest would play anything. If I was to name a few bands/artists they would be..

Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Bowie, Guns, Radiohead, Rage, Stones, Beatles, Zepp, Eagles, Hendrix, Kings, Queen, Halen, U2, Fleetwood, Deep Purple, Oasis, Blur.

The list goes on and on. Basically I play everything, Depends on the bands.
