Getting Sky TV without drilling a hole in the wall

I have just moved to a new house and I'm thinking of getting Sky TV connection. The owner of the house has no problem mounting the Sky Dish outside the house. But he is not ready to drill a hole in the wall get the cables in. Now there's an existing TV aerial on top of the roof and each room has a TV aerial socket (please see the attached image).

Is it possible to deliver the Sky TV signal via these sockets without drilling a hole in the wall? If yes, will the Sky installation guys do it as part of their installation job?

I have used one of these with some success:

Basically, it is designed to allow a TV aerial or satellite cable to pass through a window frame without having to drill a hole in through the wall. you open your window, pass it through and then close the window.

I say "with some success" as over time the cable tends to go faulty. I got a year out of my cable, before I had to change it. When it happened the 2nd time, I gave up and drilled a hole

Hmm how firm is this "no attic" rule? Like if I offered the guy 50/70 quid would he do it?

Reason I ask is that like the OP, I'm about to move into a new house that has a dish on the wall with a single feed to a FTA box and I want to bring my Sky HD and older Sky+ box with me. Like the OP's house, there seems to be an active feed coming from aerial points in every room (aerial on the roof of course).

I've also talked Sky into doing the home move for free AND upgrading the old Sky+ box for a new HD one (also for free!) so I'd really like to get this wired in centrally if possible - only other issue though would be a phone line requirement on the 2nd box for multiroom.

Any ideas?

Is the photo of your connection.

It has an F Connector setup, was it connected to MMDS TV / Dish or similar as its OTT for std aerial.

Is there a current TV signal at that connection.

If you need Terestrial TV at that point too then you will need to use a diplexer to combine a single LNB and aerial together.

So its either sky+ and no Terestrial or single sky and Terestrial.

Or put receiver in attic and feed via amplifier to you existing aerial connections.

Use Sky eyes to change channels and add in either Video Extender or Cat5 solution to get AV output on main TV rather than RF.

You are correct dfdream. There's a dish on my rooftop (put in there by the previous tenant) which connected to the wall socket. There's a diplexer in my living room and I can get RTE1, 2 and TV3 (although the picture quality is very poor) at that connection. If I don't use the diplexer, I don't get the TV signal.

There should be another diplexer at the other end to split them back again.

You need to decide what you want where first.

Weather you need SKy + or not, terestrial or not, to feed RF from sky to other rooms or not.
