Victim of a miscarriage of justice,

Shame he wasn't a victim of a plain old miscarriage.

That communion carriage is a ............................. 'miscarriage'.

    Wohoo!

Lived in Dublin for the last 5 years-I have found Dubs can't, tbh.

If you don't find it acceptable a counter argument would be your best bet my man.
Personally I don't think Limerick is any worse than Dublin for example. But then having lived in Limerick for a while as opposed to judging it from afar I wouldn't be in a position to make an uninformed sweeping statement about it.

But couldn't the same be said for the other racial slurs ? I mean, what's the difference between slagging off the travelling community and the Limerick community ?

If treating like with like, shouldn't it be up to the travelling community to just "counter argue" ?

BTW, I did try to counter-argument, but the spouting of ****e continued.

At least someone's informed, I guess......refreshing to converse with someone who knows what they're talking about....makes a change.

Amazing.....absolutely no comeback on your earlier Lonely Planet claim......or on the earlier waffle about the pregnant teens teeming......much the same as the skangers I encountered on the Luas last time I was in Dublin, I guess, but hey.....I guess the truth hurts and is best ignored, eh ?

And I've asked you already to lose the condescending "pal" bull****.

Finally, I am addressing "our problems".....by challenging ridiculous opinionated slanders and letting people know the facts....that Limerick is a city with issues the same as every other city in the country.....no more, no less.

Given that both cities have had innocent people murdered (a rugby player in Limerick and a carpenter in Dublin), remind me again in which city a reporter was murdered for doing her job ?
i hope people are not talking about the whole county of limerick
as it is a beautiful country side with beautiful towns and villages dotted all around, abbeyfeale and rathkale are among them

Wrong. You tried to squirm out of the thread when you knew you were on to a loser.

Doesn't "on to" mean "talking to" ?

As in "I was on to Vodafone earlier about the iPhone...."

I see you are trying to go down the personal attack route now instead of addressing the issue at hand. Ah the good aul bury the head in the sand approach.

Well my cousin lives there and she confirmed my thoughts. Maybe you are the one who is blinkered pal. I honestly think if Limerick people lost the chip they could start to address their problems.

She must be one of the pregnant scum you were talking about then. She must be if she lives in Limerick, right?

She must also be vermin, because apparently they're "wall-to-wall" down here.

You said Limerick was "wall-to-wall vermin".

    I'm from Limerick.

So if you want to claim that it was somehow "me" that got personal, you're becoming even more deluded on this thread than your earlier posts.

I said take a walk down the main streets and it's wall to wall vermin. But don't bother to quote me correctly. Whatever suits your agenda.

I said take a walk down the main streets and it's wall to wall vermin.

I'm damned if I can see the difference!

You still said it's wall to wall vermin.

    Absolutely no misquote there.

Ugh all this anti-Limerick talk annoys the hell out of me, it's really ignorant as most of it is because of what people see on RTÉ, yes this place has it's share of scum but so does everywhere else.

Dublin/Galway/Cork are lucky that's they're much larger than Limerick and that the scum are evenly spread out however unluckily for us we are not a big city and the city itself is in the centre of all the scummy areas so you see the problem.
It's a shame because this city could be a wonderful place but alas the scum have the rule of the roost.

lads as someone who works in the transport industry( travel plays a big part of the job:eek:) i have been in every city/major towns in Ireland.
i found limerick no different to any of our other cities/towns yes you have scum/toe rags etc but you get that in every city in every country.
as for the cleanines of limerick city centre or dublin for that matter i have allways seen the local council lads out cleaning in the early mornings,i would know my way around limerick city very well and yeah they do have there so called dodgy estates like any other town/city.
what you have got to remember is that that the majority of people living in these so called rough areas are normal decent working people trying to better them selves and make a living.

What you have here above folks is an educated view. I don't work in transport but I have taken it upon myself to learn as much as possible about Ireland and have lived in four other cities around the country at various times with work.

99% of Limerick City bashing is offered by people who have never even been there. It is an affront to reason.

To visit the place, and find out for yourself what the place is really like, costs 1 day of your time and about no more than €20 return by public transport from most places in Ireland. Get yourself an education.
