Remote Central Locking Seat Ibiza (01)

hi, the remote central locking in my car ain't working anymore. it had been acting up lately but now its not working at all. Is it likely that the battery just went? i presume that but the red light on the keys still goes when i press unlock. Also can you just change battery or is there a coding thing once you do that too?…

My guess is that there is just enough power left to illuminate the led. Changing the battery isn't usually a big deal, but there is a chance that it might need to be reprogrammed after.
