Losing Things

I lost my iPod the other day. I was walking home from school, knackered after double PE and decided to have a lie-down in the park. My iPod was in my pocket and it must have fallen out. I was nearly home before I realised it was gone, ran back to the park but there was no sign of it. A guy painting nearby spotted me looking for it and wandered over to tell me that a blonde girl in her 20s had come across it and walked off with it (throwing me off the scent perhaps? :P) Anyway, it's gone now - was only 3 weeks old as well.

So tonight I had a think about all the things I've lost over the last couple of years - including numerous phones, chunks of money here and there, and entire suitcase full of clothes, of course my self-respect over the grinds teacher fiasco, and the iPod... I do this all the time and never learn. I calculated that I'd lost roughly over €1000 worth of stuff in the two years alone.

There's nothing quite like that feeling of a spazzing panic attack when you check your pockets and realising that you've just pissed a few hundred quid of hard(ish)-earned money away.

Is anyone else as bad as me with losing things?

No,i am a bit anal about making sure i have everything that i came out with on me, every few minutes.
I lose the odd thing, but nothing too major really.

I quantify things I own in terms of how long I had to work to pay for them, and how long I would have to work to buy a replacement ... and then I don't lose them.

im losing stuff all the time. today i lost my memory stick with the assignment i just completed for the uni and didn't make a copy of to any hard drive

I never lose things TBH, I misplace stuff around the house, but never lose anything! I still have the first ever plec I bought for guitar nearly 5 years ago! It's been misplaced loads of times, but I still have it somewhere!

Ha, cool, I still have my first plec too, which I bought about 4 years ago. I have a guitar too, but I can't play. Weeeeeeeeeee!!!

I started a thread about it too straight after his was there when I realised what happened! I was the guy in the leather jacket! It got locked though because otherwise I would have had to be banned for certain reasons!

I lost my iPhone on a night out a few months ago - I'm still grieving.
I got it on an upgrade, so to buy a new one would cost me €500.
To make matters worse, when I called the phone (albeit at 3am) to plead for its return, some weirdo was heavy breathing down the phone.
