Before anyone jumps in and points out that the OP fails at primary-level English, I would like to point out that he is probably joking to make a point.

A Greek and Italian were arguing over who had the superior culture.

The Greek says, "We have the Parthenon."

Arching his eyebrows, the Italian replies, "We have the Coliseum."

The Greek retorts, "We Greeks gave birth to advanced mathematics"

The Italian, nodding agreement, says, "But we built the Roman Empire."

And so on and so on until the Greek comes up with what he thinks will end the discussion. With a flourish of finality he says, "We invented sex!"

The Italian replies, "That is true, but it was the Italians who introduced it to women."

Doesn't say a lot for the Italians - did they think prior to this they all came to being via immaculate conception?

The_Minister, I wouldn't be so sure. They have a bit a SOH defect.

As an Irish person I worry not about the constraints of the Inglish language. I usually refer grammar/usage pedants to Ulysses by Joyce and ask them to consider Joyce's usage in what is considered the greatest novel of the last century in the English language. ;)

That's partly because so few people have read it, even fewer finished it and of those about a quarter liked it, assuming they could remember how it started.:)
Never mind, I attach my stick figure version. It's all there.
