    Quick question.

O2 gives unlimited internet usage on the iPhone via their 3G network.

Does this extend to internet usage while using your iPhone as a modem for a laptop ?

Its not unlimited, its 3GB. No, unless you are on the older package otherwise they charge you on a special tethering package. It has been covered loads of times, do a search for "tether"

The unlimeted data package doesn't cover tethering.

    hey guys,

You know PDANet will allow you to theather your internet using the APN setting for iPhone browsing. This way you could use your unlimited data package for browsing on your PC, so no more theathering charges from O2

PDANet allows you to connect via ad hoc wifi, bluetooth, and with you iphone cable. Although you do need to download small program for it to work.

PDANet can be downloaded from cydia but is unfortunately a paid for app, but not through the usual appstore route. The are of course ways to "bend" the rules on getting it, but it cant be disgust here.
