Just back from the JSC in Mallow. Seriously guys, If you are down for this over the weekend, find something else. Greens were just about the worst I've ever tried to putt on. Truly shocking.

Played myself. Greens are not good. Bumpy and slow. Seen worse this year though.

On a different note any JSC in tralee this year. Dont see it on the GUI site.

Tralee was on about 3 weeks ago I think. Didn't get to play myself.

Was looking forward to that. Sorry i missed it. Any JSC in ballybunion, waterville or dooks or places like that.

Hope the greens are better than last year:(

Sorry to disappoint lads, but i played Headfort New over the weekend and the greens were very similar to the way they were this time last year - true, but very slow.

They've re-laid a few of them and a few have a touch of moss so they're keeping them a touch longer to try and help them. They do run very true, but are noticably slow.

Played Borris junior scratch yesterday and had a 76 with a dumb triple bogey 7 on the 14th.
Greens were slow and not great... 13 GIR, missed 3 very short putts... game is coming back.

Played Courtown JSC yesterday. 74 Gross won it, 78 second.

Course was in okay condition, greens were slow and fairways fairly bare. But Course is a favourite of mind, will try again next year, a 10 on the 9th will needed to be avoided next year..

Just a note to this. The timesheet system is currently incorrectly set up to accept 4 names per slot. Obviously this should be restricted to 3 names per slot so if anyone from here is booking a time please don't book yourself in as a fourth name in a slot. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Yeah playing alright. Played an open fourball down there a fortnight ago and wasn't impressed with the condition of the place, fairways were very bare and the greens were shocking, very slow and bumpy. Hopefully it will be back to its normal standard when the Senior comes around.

Last year it was cancelled but it returns on 12th June 2010.

That is a shame about it being cut to 18 holes, but to be honest it's just nice to have it back.

Brian Keogh gives a good account of things on Irish Golf Desk.

    http://www.irishgolfdesk.com/news-files/2010/5/17/monaghan-pips-curley-for-kilkenny-scratch-cup.html

Nice to see Monaghan finally win something fairly big. Seems to have been slowly getting closer over the past 12 months.
