iphone 3gs gmail outgoing mails probelm

    When trying to send a picture or video i keep getting the following message

    The connection to outgoing server "smtp.gmail.com" failed.

    i've messed around with the settings and deleted my email account and re installed it.

    Anyone have the same problem and know how to fix it?

    go to settings>mail contacts etc, click on the email add ur havin problems with and scroll down to outgoing mail server, clcik it and clcik the primary mail server, make sure the server is enabled and that the password is correct

    i had the same problem after changin a password and never thought to change it there aswell

    I had the same problem, turns out i had been given a 2g sim card and had to get a 3g sim card from o2.
