Reckon this might be the best place for getting an answer for this

For all you kids and young at heart
I'm looking to get a soft toy as a pressie for someone- Ernie from Sesame St.
Anyone got any idea for a bricks and mortar shop in Dublin, Kilkenny or Sligo that would sell one of these?
I've looked at Smyths already and they don't seem to have them...

BTW: Were himself and Bert really gay?

    Bert and Ernie weren't gay!

They were ladies men, out on the town together chasing tail every night

The 'animals' obvious attempts at masculinity was as ploy to hide his raging homosexuality...

The teddy bear shop in Stephens Green shopping centre has them as far as I remember. It's beside mothercare, on the left as you walk in the main entrance.

Found a link, they definitely have them:

Ernie: I say 1Q & you say 2Q and we continue on from there.
    Bert: Ok, let's go!
    Ernie: 1Q.
    Bert: 2Q.
    Ernie: 3Q.
    Bert: 4Q.
    Ernie: 5Q.
    Bert: 6Q.
    Ernie: 7Q.
    Bert: 8Q.
    Ernie: 9Q.
    Bert: 10Q.
    Ernie: What's that, Bert?
    Bert: 10Q!
Ernie: I couldn't hear you, Bert.
    Bert: [Yelling] 10Q, 10Q, 10Q!
Ernie: You're welcome, you're welcome, you're welcome, Bert. [laughs]

Ernie: [as Bert reads off from his speech] Hey, Bert...
[plucks his nose off his face]
Ernie: Your nose is loose, Bert.
    [laughs]
Bert: [muffed voice] Ernie, that is *not* funny.
Ernie: But that's the old Nose Joke, Bert. It's been around since Sesame Street started in 1969.
[puts his nose back on him]
Bert: That's true. You *have* been doing that to me for 17 years!
Ernie: I know, Bert, but don't thank me; it's my job.

Why do all Irish people call them Bert and Ernie???It's Ernie and Bert!!!!! That's what they were known as in Seseme St.

I worked with a fella once who said when he was small he woke up one night and Ernie and Bert were on the landing staring at him:D...said it wasn't a dream:eek:
