    Hi folks
i have an air tight build house and wish to install to inset stove burners. i have external air supplies installed. basically just a vent from outside brought into the fireplace area underneath.
does anyone have any experience installing such stoves with external air supplies? manufacturer names and model would help. i worked out i need a 7kw and 9kw stove..
    any help appreciated

Have a look at Fondis, I have a F50. This is air tight but not the not the best looking, its nice enough but a little indistrial.

BTW a 9kw stove in a well insulated air tight home would nearly heat the whole house. I have it in a very large room and 8kw is way to much. I wish it was around 4 or 5kw as I can not have a roaring fire without opening up my door to outside.

I asked Murphys in Kinvara about this...apparantly there's a new one coming out shortly that fits into existing fireplaces/openings...cant rememeber the name of it, but if you give them a shout I'm sure they'll know the one.

Been checking into these ourselves. living stone in limerick and dublin do the Stovax stoves and elm fireplaces do a version with an external air supply . They were considerably cheaper than murphys heating.

Stovax have a range of insert and freestanding with external air. Got one in Nagles in Mallow. Shopped around and found them the cheapest. Worth a call
