Not their fault if the current breaking news in Ireland doesn't excite you. If you want exciting news log onto Sky news or Fox news.

its not really that though and as I said I prefer BBC news, my initial point was that at least if you have some major world event in the middle of our night, the likes of BBC news and sky news cover it well, think I would rather watch that then logging onto breaking news.ie or wait until 18:01 or 21:00 for our news.

Ah come on, have you seen the net for Irish breaking stories :D

For Irish breaking news, there is the site I quoted.

I am not arguing with you. I think we should have a 24 hour news channel which would give us breaking news, but it is kind of a lose lose situation. With BBC news there is enough local news to keep the programme going, and when there is a world wide event, they have the assets to get the info in time. An irish news station does not have enough to work on 24 hours a day that is of enough interest to keep people watching - waiting as it were for a major event, short of reporting who won the under-16 Westmeath County final between Multyfarnham and Fearbranagh.

Prince Philip Injures Ankle In Accident

With all the other news about the UK economy, stabbings etc, this ****e is a top story?

Sky News is like a tabloid TV channel

".... and in other news, Britney Spears camel toe exposed, Simon Cowell has man tits and Obama kills a fly in a live interview. In other international news, 56 people killed in Iraq car bomb and Katla super-volcano erupts. But back to our main news and the shocking revelation that Prince Philip injured his ankle in an accident. We are expecting a statement from Buckingham Palace in the next few minutes but first over to our London correspondent for more on this terrible tragedy ..."

I agree with you, I think people are a bit too quick to attack sky news though, yes at times when its a slow news day, they have to fill the time in with something, but they do cover big events well
, thinking of stuff like the Mumbai attacks etc....

Ok maybe I'm mad here, but it seems like (I'm just guessing here and correct me if im wrong but here goes..,),

Maybe you should not watch a British news channel and complain when they report on things that are happening in Britain.

    I know its crazy!

Why do you give a fuuck anyway?

If you don't like it then don't watch it.

You seem like you have an inferiority complex towards our neighbours going by your other threads.

Have you heard of "getting out and making friends" by any chance?

    who gives a fuuk?

Again, do you trawl the internet and tv looking to be offended?

if you do, then you're fuucked my friend.

Sorry man, you are way to simple for me to have a rational discussion with.... have a good night :pac:

But one thing I'd like to get straight is that the thread you are referring to is regarding a site that has notable UK dates on the Rep of Ireland site... and not some dead guy. Like I said before, please read threads before posting, and try not to be such a simpleton please
